DNO Improvement Plan 2023-2024

Vision for Douglas Nevada Online
"We cultivate personalized learning journeys where every student discovers their strengths, reclaims their academic path, and builds the confidence to thrive in school and beyond."

DCSD is excited to announce for the 2025-2026 school year that our free public alternative middle school is providing online and in person school for families with a desire to stay enrolled in Douglas County schools.

Douglas Nevada Online will utilize the Edmentum distance learning platform as the online curriculum for all courses.  Edmentum courses provide age-appropriate, standards-based, engaging lessons with access to tools that support learning, including text to speech, audio and translation, and more.

The 2025-2026 school year will start on Monday, August 18.  If you are interested in enrolling at Douglas Nevada Online, please contact gward@dcsd.k12.nv.us.

Each Douglas Nevada Online student will have access to a DCSD certified teacher for questions and support.  Students enrolled in Douglas Nevada Online will be able to work at their own pace and schedule.  Edmentum is parent friendly with easy accessibility for parents to view student progress.
